Jill Hennessy

Her family is from Edmonton, a city with Irish, Italian and Swedish roots, along with French Ukrainian, French and Swedish. Her twin sister, Jacqueline is also an actor. Jill became fluent in various languages, such as Italian, French, Spanish, as she was growing older. At twelve, she became interested in acting. She started her acting career in Toronto as part of David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers playing an escort together with the twins of her. In the following years, she was studying improv at Second City with Deb Kimmet. After relocating to New York, Claire signed a two-year deal for Law & Order to be the Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid. Over the 3 years she lived in New York where she was a part of film projects that featured feature actors like RoboCop 3 (1993), Ron Howard's The Paper (1996) and I Shot Andy Warhol (1996). Her work was featured in a couple of forgettable films over the following several years before securing her a leading role in 1999's miniseries uremberg which was co-produced by Alec Baldwin. Autumn in New York followed and so did Exit Wounds. The actress was cast as the lead of Crossing Jordan, the NBC Crime thriller Crossing Jordan in 2001. In 2007, she received the Gracie Allen Award for "Outstanding female actor in a drama" for her performance in the series. She married another actor, Paolo Mastropietro in 2000. They have two children together. In 2007, she was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame. Jill Jill Jill Jill Jill
