Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden, born on the 14th of August, 1959, in La Jolla (California), was the 3rd child in a family of five. Beverly Bushfield was the mother of her child and Thad Harden being in active military service, was the father. The family was often moved. As they travelled to Greece her interest grew in theater and attended Athens productions. Harden was a student at American universities in Europe before returning to the US after 1983 to continue her education at University of Texas. She graduated with an MFA from NYU and started her career as an actor. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers' cleverly satirical homage of the 1990 gangster film, Miller's Crossing. Although Harden appeared in movies since 1986 (in the less-known The Imagemaker), she appeared as a seductive woman in the film as her debut mainstream role. Harden's sultry portrayal of Verna, an enigmatic, beautiful moll, earned her rave reviewers. Harden was able to continue her steady work as a support actor acting as Ava Gardner in Sinatra (92), the television biopic from Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
