Christina Haack was conceived in Anaheim, California. Her first job was as a real estate agent after she graduated from high school. Tarek El-Moussa, her upcoming husband, also worked in this business. In 2008, following the crash of the stock market, the real estate market was hit hard by investors as well as house flippers lost their money. Tarek El Moussa, and Christina El Moussa lost the majority of their assets as a result of the 2008 market collapse. The couple moved from a costly home, where they paid $6,000 a month, to a modest apartment which cost only $700. Both their business and economy in general slowly recovered. HGTV and Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted an accomplice to assist in the production of an HGTV video audition in 2011. The video showed Tarek and Christina working together to turn a house. The tape landed in management of an executive at the production company Pie Town Productions. These executives were fascinated by Tarek's and Christina's love story. They signed an official contract with HGTV in 2012. In April of 2013, "Flip of Flop" premiered. In the seven seasons that ran from 2013 and 2017, the show broadcast 92 episode. Christina and Tarek were the two characters in the series, would purchase houses, usually moderate-income houses located in Orange County. Tarek is in charge of the demolition, remodeling and design. Christina keeps everything running according to schedule.
